Winter Vacation in Schools in Kargil Till March 15 Due to Heavy Snowfall
Kargil, Feb 26: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, chaired a meeting today at the Council Secretariat to review the ongoing winter conditions and their impact on educational institutions.
In view of heavy snowfall and extreme cold, the CEC announced an extension of winter vacations for both government and private institutions till March 15, 2025.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councillor Kacho Mohd Feroz, Executive Councillor Aga Syed Mujtaba, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Shrikant Suse, and Chief Education Officer Kargil.
The decision was taken considering the safety and well-being of students and staff amid the harsh weather conditions in the region.
