Chandigarh, Feb. 20, 2025: All Ladakh Students’ Welfare Association Chandigarh (ALSWAC) hosted its cultural fest, Nuqush-e-Ladakh, today after a five-year hiatus.

The event was graced by the Honorable Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha Ladakh, Haji Mohmad Haneefa Jan, as the chief guest. The Guest of Honor was Dr. Amit Chauhan, DSW, Panjab University Chandigarh, alongside special guests Dr. Jaswinder Kumar, Director UIHTM, Mr. Anurag Dalal, President PU Campus Students Council, and Mr. Manoj Lubana (Mauji).

A highlight of the evening was the unveiling of Afkar-e-Nau, ALSWAC’s annual magazine, in the presence of distinguished guests. The fest featured vibrant performances of traditional dances by student bodies from Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Manipur, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of these regions.

President ALSWAC, Aba Idrees, welcomed all guests with the traditional Ladakhi khatak, bouquets, and mementos as tokens of gratitude. ALSWAC extends heartfelt thanks to all guests, performers, and audiences for making the event a success.
