Leh, February 18: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, held a meeting with Sh. Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS, Administrative Secretary (Transport/Agri & Horti./Animal, Sheep & Fisheries/Coop/SIDCO), to address several key issues.

The meeting included a discussion on the new framework for commercial vehicle permits, aimed at improving the regulatory system. They also covered the future roadmap for agriculture, horticulture, sheep and others sectors, laying out plans for their growth and development.

In addition, they discussed strategies to develop an organic village, which would focus on promoting sustainable agricultural practices. They reflected on the work done by the council in collaboration with the UT administration over the past five years, particularly in advancing carbon neutrality through efforts in agriculture, horticulture, and solar energy.

Further strategies were explored to enhance and promote the potential of these sectors, with a focus on sustainability and expanding the use of solar energy.
