VoL Desk, January 27: On the auspicious occasion of Republic Day 2025, the Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Ladakh, based on recommendations from the Chairmen and Chief Executive Councillors of the LAHDCs of Kargil and Leh, announced the grant of the State Awards and LG Gold Medal UT Ladakh.

These awards serve as a recognition of the tireless efforts, dedication, and exemplary contributions made by individuals and organizations across Ladakh in diverse fields.

State Awardees

1. Inspector Late Tsewang Namgyal (Posthumously) – Bravery
2. Tundup Dorjey Stakmo – Art and Culture
3. Al-Reza Health Care & Research Foundation, Kargil (C/o Dr. Mohd Abbass) – Public Service
4. Rinchen Youdol and Ms. Leakzes Angmo – Sports
5. Ladakh Ecological Development Group (LEDeG, C/o Eshey Tundup) – Social Reforms, Empowerment, and Environment Protection
6. Dr. Konchok Dorjey (Assistant Professor) – Teaching and Academics
