Journalist Syed Hashim Razvi Honored with award on 76th Republic Day

Kargil, January 26, 2025 – The Voice of Ladakh proudly congratulates our Executive Editor, Syed Hashim Razvi, on receiving a Certificate of Appreciation from the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh. The honor, presented during the 76th Republic Day celebrations, recognizes his outstanding contributions to local print media.

The award was conferred by Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, Hon’ble Chairman/CEC of LAHDC Kargil and Sh. Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, IAS, Deputy Commissioner/CEO of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil in recognition of Mr. Razvi’s pivotal role in amplifying public concerns and fostering effective communication across Ladakh.

With 17 years of experience in journalism, Mr. Razvi has dedicated his career to serving the people of Ladakh through impactful reporting and community-focused initiatives.

Starting as Bureau Chief of Rangyul Newspaper (2007–2012), he later joined Voice of Ladakh as a Senior Reporter (2013–2017) and Sub-editor (2018–2020) before taking on the role of Executive Editor in 2021.

His dedication to journalistic excellence has previously earned him the Wal-Fajr Award for addressing public issues and the Sarhad Pune Award for his outstanding media coverage during the Kargil International Marathon.

This latest accolade further highlights his unwavering commitment to bridging the gap between governance and the community, fostering dialogue, and ensuring truthful reporting.

The entire team at Voice of Ladakh extends our heartfelt congratulations to Syed Hashim Razvi for this well-deserved recognition and for his continued leadership and contribution to the field of journalism.

He deserved this as he has proven himself as an upright and true journalist so far as highlighting the core public issues besides keeping journalism of value and standard I Ladakh.
