Parent-teacher meet, food festival held at MS Throngoss
Kargil, Dec 07, 2024: A successful parent-teacher meet and food festival was organized at MS Throngoss, bringing together esteemed guests, parents, and the local community. The event was collaboratively organized by the school, Village Education Committee (VEC), and community members.The program was attended by distinguished guests, including Councillor Bhimbhet, Abdul Wahid, SDM Drass, ZEO Drass, SHO Drass, Commanding Officer from Army, local elders and parents.The event aimed to foster a stronger relationship between parents, teachers, and the community, while promoting the importance of education and community engagement.Speaking on the occasion, Councilor Bhimbhet emphasized the importance of community involvement in the education system. He also stressed local residents and parents to actively participate as a community to enhance the education of the schools. The Councilor also stated that government schools have no shortage of talented and dedicated teachers, emphasizing the need to utilize their services optimally.He also said that it has become pertinent for students to keep themselves updated with new developments in technology which has been shaping our future drastically. Abdul Wahid donated a computer set and printer to the school which will help enhance the students’ access to technology and improve their educational experience. He said it is through collaboration and support from all stakeholders that we can create a positive and enriching environment for the children.Notably, representatives from the Zamba Organisation were also in attendance, marking their continued support to the school over the past four years. Their contributions have been instrumental in enhancing the school’s infrastructure, resources, and educational programs.The food festival showcased a diverse range of local cuisine, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the region. The event provided a platform for community members to come together, share ideas, and celebrate their collective achievements.The school staff and organizers expressed their gratitude to the attendees, guests, and community members for their support and participation.
