Kargil, December 12: The condition of NH 301 in the TSG Block, situated approximately 25 kilometers from Kargil town, has become a matter of grave concern for residents and commuters. The road remains covered in snow and ice, making it extremely hazardous for vehicular movement. Slippery surfaces have led to vehicles skidding, further exacerbating safety risks.

Local residents have expressed disappointment with the administration and the area’s three councilors for their lack of response to the ongoing issue. Despite the critical nature of the situation, the road has not been cleared or treated to ensure safe passage.

“Traveling on this road poses a serious risk to life. The authorities must take immediate steps to address the issue,” said a local commuter.

NH 301 serves as a vital route for the region, and its current state has disrupted daily life and essential connectivity. Residents have urged the administration to prioritize snow clearance and implement safety measures to restore normalcy.
