LAHDC & IAF Delivers Essential Supplies to Dipling and Jingchen

Vol Desk : LAHDC with the help of the Indian Air Force Station Leh, successfully airlifted essential supplies to the remote villages of Dipling and Jingchen, which are cut off during the winter months. The supplies were delivered just ahead of the Losar and New Year celebrations, ensuring that the villagers had access to food, essentials, and fresh stock during this festive period.

Due to recent snowfall, the villages of Dipling and Jingchen had been completely cut off from the rest of Ladakh, making it impossible for locals to access fresh stock or vegetables. In response, LAHDC, with the assistance of the Indian Air Force Station at Leh, mobilized helicopters to bring much needed supplies to these isolated regions.

Hon’ble Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the swift action and support provided by the Indian Air Force Station Leh, under the leadership of Wing Commander D.S. Handa, the Air Officer Commanding (AoC) of Air Force Station Leh and the team of pilots who successfully carried out the operation, ensuring the smooth delivery of supplies to the villages of Dipling and Jingchen.

The villagers of Dipling and Jingchen expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Chairman Tashi Gyalson and Air Officer Commanding, D.S. Handa for their support in delivering these essential supplies through choppers and appreciated the timely intervention which helped bring joy and relief to the people of these remote villages as they celebrate Losar and the New Year.
