Leh, December 9, 2024: The Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting to finalize and approve beneficiaries under State Marriage Assistance Scheme at VC Room, DC Office, Leh on December 9.During the meeting, District Social Welfare Officer Inzaar Rana, briefed the members on the number of applications received after UT, number of applications received this year, verified cases and the current guideline. He informed that the current guideline lacks a standard SOP to verify cases. DC, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve approved 30 verified cases under the State Marriage Assistance Scheme and instructed completion of the verification process for remaining cases. He also directed District Social Welfare Officer to send a letter to the Secretary regarding the release of funds in old pending cases. He further directed to create a proper SOP to identify and verify cases under the scheme.
