CEC Kargil, MP Ladakh releases AKSAD’s annual magazine
News Desk, December 08, 2024: All Kargil Ladakh Students Association Delhi, (AKSAD) released a edition of their annual magazine titled Karvan-e-Umeed in the presence of CEC Kargil Dr Jaffar Akhone, Member of Parliament from Ladakh, Mohd Hanifa Jan and Co Chairman Kargil Democratic Alliance, Qamar Ali Akhone at Delhi.
The release took place in an event called Tazkira to remeber the legendary personalities from Ladakh including renowned social activist Ven. Lama Lobzang, poet Abdul Hameed Tanveer, and writer Abdul Ghani Sheikh. The event held at Ghalib Academy, Nizamuddin, Delhi.
This marks the 7th edition for the academic year 2023-24, a significant comeback after the hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
First launched in 2015, Karvan-e-Umeed was envisioned as a platform to inspire and empower students, budding writers, and young thinkers from the Kargil district. Every corner of Kargil carries unique stories waiting to be discovered, and this magazine serves as a conduit to share these narratives with the world. Entirely driven by students and for students, this ethos forms the foundation of its editorial policy.
The magazine welcomes contributions on diverse topics such as culture, language, identity, politics, ideology, environment, and development. It aims to provide a dynamic space for students from Kargil to engage in intellectual discussions and showcase their perspectives on contemporary issues.
