Kargil, October 10, 2024: The District Child Protection Unit, Kargil organized an awareness cum drawing competition on the theme “Clean India Green India” at Az-Zahra Orphanage, Kargil, under the Mission Vatsalya Scheme.

Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee, Kargil emphasized on child rights issues and concerns under Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection) Act 2015. He emphasized the importance of safeguarding child rights and promoting a clean and green environment for their well-being.

Protection Officer of Non-Institutional Care, District Child Protection Unit, Kargil stressed on protection, care, and development of children.

Supervisor of District Drugs De-addiction Centre, Kargil highlighted the dangers of drug abuse.

Legal cum Probation Officer, District Child Protection Unit, Kargil discussed children’s legal rights under constitutional rights and Mission Vatsalya.

Children from Az-Zahra Orphanage created paintings and drawings on “Clean India Green India” theme.

The programme was attended by employees, Child Welfare Committee, Kargil; employees of District Child Protection Unit, Kargil; employees of Child Helpline, Kargil; employees of District Drugs De-addiction Centre, Kargil; staff and students of Az-Zahra Orphanage Home, Kargil. The event aimed to educate children on their rights, promote healthy habits, and encourage creativity.
