NALSA launches toll-free number to provide legal aid

VoL Desk, August 29: The National Legal Services Authority has launched its toll-free/helpline number 15100 to provide legal aid and support to individuals who need assistance, particularly those who may face barriers in accessing legal services.

The NALSA helpline is available to address queries related to legal matters, offer guidance and connect individuals with legal aid services. It plays crucial role in ensuring justice for all, especially marginalized and disadvantaged groups.

    With reference to your mail on date addressed to APSLSA, we humbly submit that the subject matter referred in our GRIEVANCE PETITION as well in Appeal on findings of SCLSC dated 26.04.2024 pertains to Non settlement of our eligible pension on filthy grounds of amended statutory provisions inserted under Sec12A-4A of FCI Act during EMERGENCY and it had to be examined with reference to facts on record at National level.

    Hence it may not be within the jurisdiction of APSLSA for passing appropriate directions to the concerned authorities.

    Further the Appeal filed herein is intended for kind perusal and consideration of the Appellate Authorities of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

    Therefore kindly consider to advice concerned authorities of SCLSC to see that the Appeal is placed before the Hon’ble Justice of Supreme Court vested with authority to examine the factual position prevailing in records reports and documents submitted by the appellant under Regulation 12(6) of SCLSC Regulations of 1996 and oblige.

    As the matter is pending for a long time kindly consider to get the same adjudicated at the earliest to rescue ailing Leftover Food Transferees of FCI struggling for survival since decades.
