DDMA Leh issues weather advisory in view of changing weather

VoL Desk, July 31: Office of the District Disaster Management Authority, Leh has issued a weather advisory in view of the current weather conditions and sudden rise of water levels in rivers/streams/nallah in the district.

The DDMA Leh has requested the people of Leh District and tourist visiting Leh to take precautionary measures and stay away from flood/landslide prone nallahs/rivers/streams, till weather improves.

The DDMA and IMD Leh shall update the weather condition time to time. The DDMA has advised to avoid venturing out unnecessarily, going to areas that face water logging problem, staying/venturing in flood/landslide prone area and venturing in and around water bodies.

All government officers/officials of concerned departments are directed not to leave their station till further orders and shall prepare machinery/equipments/manpower for any kind of eventuality.

Accordingly, All SDMS/Tehsildars/BDOS and other concerned Departments are directed to remain alert, cautious and shall remain prepared for any kind of eventuality. The Executive Engineer, I&FC and EO, MC, Leh are directed to remove the blockage of nallahs/stream in and around the city.
