Sheikh Nazir Angered by Palestinian Flag in Muharram Procession
VoL Desk, July 16: President of Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil, Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi, expressed anger during the 9th Muharram procession, instructing the removal of a Palestinian flag from the Kaksar-Chuliskamboo-Budgam village procession. Sheikh Nazir emphasized that Muharram should be solely dedicated to mourning the martyrdom of Imam Hussain.
Citing a tradition of Imam Hassan Mujtaba (a.s.), “There is no day like yours, O Aba Abdullah,” Sheikh Nazir stated that only Imam Hussain should be commemorated on this day, and no other flag should be hoisted.
“Tell them to remove this flag. What is this flag doing here? Remove it. You have forgotten (Abul Fazl) Abbas (a.s.). You should be ashamed,” Sheikh Nazir said furiously.

Following his remarks, mourners began chanting “Labbaik ya Hussain.” However, the slogans gradually shifted to pro-Palestinian sentiments, echoing throughout the Islamia School premises. A video shows that the procession was then forced to leave the premises, continuing their march to Khomeini Chowk while chanting in solidarity with Gaza and Palestine. Earlier, in an interview with Voice of Ladakh, Sheikh Nazir had expressed similar sentiments, stating that only Imam Hussain should be mourned and no other flag should be hoisted during the procession.

I with my firm neck straightened up in air denounce you and deject your thoughts .tell me who are you to decide and interpret what Al Hussain (a.s) stood for .
You lowly thought of a human .i deject you today and I do it with proud and grace.
In true sense on the day of Muharram Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi remembered the sacrifice of Imam Hasan and Hussain, otherwise so called followers would look like a blot on the Indian subcontinent.
It looks like…have been fed up by india and neytanyahoo as well…..and express it like the way his statement come into existence….Clear now
Today’s Karbala is Gaza & Today’s Yazeed is Netanyahu & Muharram is the best time to stand against the cruelness of Israel.
Sheikh Nazir’s behaviour shows his ego & lack of understanding of the main message of Karbala.
Couple’s of years spend but he continuous brutality attack on innocent Children’s & peoples of Palastine & Gaza are still running.Its our time stand up against the
Injustice Zionism Israel, because Imam hussain stood for unity and fight against oppression by many example.we can unite against injustice and can help Palastine people.Let’s honour Karbala by starting unity against injustice and Zionism regime.
