Leh, July 10: A team from NITI Aayog, led by Programme Director for Security, Maj Gen (Retd) K Narayanan, met with the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra. Maj Gen Narayanan informed the LG that he is the nodal officer for Ladakh, Sikkim, Arunachal, and Lakshadweep. He also briefed the LG on the launch of the Sampoornata Abhiyan in Leh and Kargil districts, aimed at improving health, nutrition, education, and agriculture under the aegis of NITI Aayog.

Other NITI Aayog members discussed plans to increase the number of Atal Tinkering Labs and Incubation Centres in Ladakh, focusing on five key themes: health and nutrition, education, agriculture and allied services, basic infrastructure, and social development.

The LG directed the Director of School Education to organize a meeting with NITI Aayog officials and sign an MoU for support in various sectors, particularly the primary sector. He also instructed the Advisor to prepare an action plan, prioritize schools for establishing Atal Tinkering Labs, and set up Incubation Centres in Ladakh.
