Lecturers Forum Leh meets LG, requests establishment of SCERT in Ladakh
Leh, July 08: A delegation from the Lecturers Forum Leh, led by its President Tsering Tundup, met with Lt. Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra at Raj Niwas. During the meeting, Tundup requested the establishment of a Human Resource Management and State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Ladakh.
Tundup informed the Lt. Governor that Education and Environmental Science are not included in the CBSE curriculum and requested that lecturers of these subjects be accommodated in the Higher Secondary schools of Ladakh.
The Lt. Governor emphasized the importance of maintaining an appropriate teacher-student ratio in schools and asked the Director of the School Education Department to prioritize the establishment of SCERT in Ladakh. He also stated that teaching staff should not be assigned to carry out any administrative work in UT Ladakh.

It is really well said that teaching staff should not be assigned as administrative work,but at the same time non academic staff should also not to be assigned as teaching to the students, and they should be assigned to their own work, me as a librarian, our cadre should be strengthened by providing trainings in different DIET and promotions and posts were also make available to this cadre and don’t neglect this cadre.If SCERT were established in leh,chief librarian and other non academic posts were also made available along with the teaching staff. 🙏
