Leh, July 26, 2024: The Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting with the Consultancy Service to review the preconstruction activities of Taklangla and Lachungla highway tunnels, today on July 26.

The Consultancy Service gave a detailed presentation on the components required for the construction of the tunnels, total requirement of land and other materials and how the construction of these tunnels will benefit the public.

DC, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve instructed the SDMs of Kharu and Nyoma to complete the joint survey with the Consultancy Service by the first week of August so that the work on the projects can start at the earliest.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Chief Engineer, HIMANK; SDM, Nyoma and SDM, Kharu.
