Kargil, June 15: District Hub for Empowerment of Women Mission Shakti ICDS Kargil in collaboration with Handloom Dept. Kargil conducted a training session and a registration drive program on different MSME schemes for women like Pradhan Mantri Mudra Scheme, PM Udyogini scheme etc. at Tiakat Panchayat House, Barso Block.

The event was also joined by special resource persons from J&K Bank Kargil and J&K Bank Sankoo including Chief Manager J&K Bank Cluster Office Kargil, Hussain, banking associate, Ilyas Hussain who briefed on different women centric schemes and govt. provided subsidies and loans for women for establishing small scale businesses. 

District Training Coordinator Handloom, Kaneez Fatima gave training cum awareness on different women centric activities like weaving, designing and other women skill programs. She also briefed about various machinery and tools facilitated by the department for women at different CFCs.

Supervisor Handloom Kargil, Syed Aga Hadi detailed on PM Mudra scheme and its benefits. Gender Specialist Mission Shakti Kargil, Aamina Banoo briefed about various women safety and security schemes like PMMVY, One Stop Centre for women, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme. She also briefed about gender-based discrimination and inequality among women and girls in society. The programme was joined by a large number of women and was held successfully.
