It has come to my attention through numerous reports from various quarters that several schools have been organizing picnics that include night stays for students. While I understand the educational and recreational value such activities can provide, the potential can risks associated with overnights stays are considerable and cannot be overlooked.
Given the gravity of the situation and in the interest of ensuring the utmost safety of our students, I hereby direct you to take immediate action to prohibit all schools from organizing picnics or any similar activities that involve night stays. Schools should be instructed to plan day trips instead, which offer a safer alternative while still providing students with valuable experiences outside the classroom.
Please communicate the directives to all heads of the High & Higher Secondary Schools promptly and ensure strict compliance. Additionally, you may monitor closely the implementation of this directive and treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the students in general and the female students in particular”.
