Ladakh Police Kargil Conducts Flag March Ahead of General Election
Kargil, May 16: In anticipation of the upcoming general election for the Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency, the Ladakh District Police, in collaboration with the 102 Battalion of CRPF and ITBP, orchestrated a comprehensive flag march through the streets of Kargil town.
Led by SSP Kargil, Shri Ram Raghavan, the march saw the active participation of CRPF, ITBP officers, and Ladakhi Police personnel.
The march covered a radius of 5 km, traversing key areas including Baroo, Main Bazaar, Adul Gound, Poyen, and Circular Road.

SSP Raghavan, addressing the media, emphasized the march’s dual purpose: to instill confidence in the public regarding the security arrangements for the election and to raise awareness about the electoral process. He reiterated the commitment of the police force to ensure a secure and open atmosphere for the upcoming elections.
Similar flag marches are slated to be organized at all Sub-Divisional Headquarters, underscoring the authorities’ proactive stance towards maintaining law and order during this critical period.
