VoL Desk, May 23: Thousand gather in the district headquarter of Kargil on Thursday to commemorate the martyrdom of Ayatollah Syed Ibrahim Raeisi and colleagues known as Shohda e Raah Khitmat on the day of their funeral procession in Iran.

The procession was held under the banner of Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust, Kargil that was joined by devotees from various villages gathered at Bus stand and going through main Bazar concluded at Hussaini Park.

People during the procession chanted elegies (Nohas) and slogans in the memory of Ayatollah Ibrahim Raeisi and colleagues.

Similarly, under the banner of Zainabiya Women Welfare Society, Kargil a procession was marched from Zainabiya Chowk and going through main Bazar concluded at Hussaini Park. The procession was joined by thousands of women, childrens and by the students of Jamia Fatima Zahra (SA) and Mutahhary Public Schools.

After the news of the martyrdom of Iran’s President Ayatollah Ibrahim Raeisi and his colleagues in the helicopter accident on 19 May 2024, the three-day Fatiha Khawni was announced at different villages and town.
