ICDS Kargil launches “Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi” training program for Anganwadi Workers
Kargil, May 07: Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Kargil today inaugurated a pioneering two-day training program dubbed “Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi” for Anganwadi Workers at Academy Hall Kargil.
The initiative aims to equip workers with comprehensive knowledge and essential skills crucial for nurturing children during their formative years.
Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Kargil, Parveen Akhtar, underscored the program’s core motive, emphasizing its pivotal role in promoting early stimulation, providing high-quality play-based early childhood care and education, and reinforcing understanding of nutrition, including Poshan 2.0 and Saksham Anganwadi initiatives.

With an emphasis on capacity building and skill enhancement, the training program seeks to empower Anganwadi workers to cater to diverse needs of children under their care.
Parveen Akhtar reiterated the program’s commitment to holistic development, foundational literacy, and numeracy, ensuring a comprehensive approach to child welfare in the region.
On the occasion resource persons including Mohd Ayub, State Coordinator; Shama Zahra, Project Assistant and CDPO Shargole Farida Batool, lent their expertise to the training sessions, enriching the learning experience for participants.
The “Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi” initiative stands as a testament to ICDS Kargil’s dedication to promote early childhood development and nutritional literacy.
