Class 10th, 12th results declared, first after affiliation with CBSE
VoL Desk, May 14: On May 13, the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) announced the Class 10 and Class 12 results. The overall pass percentage for Ladakh in Class 10 is 53.08%, while for Class 12 it is 41.59%.
Following the formation of the Union Territory, most schools in Ladakh, previously affiliated with JKBOSE, were merged with CBSE.
Across Ladakh, 1,818 students appeared for the Class 10 exams, with 965 passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 53.08%. For Class 12, 1,796 students appeared, with 747 passing, yielding a pass percentage of 41.59%, according to Director of Education, Tsering Paldan.

District-wise, in Kargil, the pass percentage for Class 10 is 45.2%. Out of 1,287 students who appeared, 582 passed. In Leh, the Class 10 pass percentage is 72.13%, with 531 students appearing and 383 passing.
For Class 12, Kargil has a pass percentage of 35.31%, with 1,263 students appearing and 446 passing. In Leh, the pass percentage is 56.47%, with 533 students appearing and 301 passing.
The DSE Ladakh congratulated the students, teachers, Heads of Institutions & parents who had outstanding performance in the 10th and 12th CBSE Exams which he said is the result of collaborative effort and hard work. However, despite the intensive efforts of teaching and Heads of Institutions, the results of many schools are not encouraging. The DSE Ladakh shall review the result school-wise and subject-wise and work for better performance in future.
