Kargil, May 01: A review meeting of Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) Division Kargil was convened at the office of Chief Engineer PHE & I&FC Ladakh.

The meeting was presided over by Chief Engineer, Er. Maqbool Hussain and attended by Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, all Junior Engineers, officials from the planning section and drawing branch.

The meeting held discussion regarding the latest expenditure of released funds for the current fiscal year. Additionally, the physical and financial status of SDP Sector, State Sector, and District Capital Expenditure (capex) budget were deliberated upon at both the block and village levels.

The meeting also addressed the status of canal charging for irrigation post winter season. The Chief Engineer emphasized the importance of vigilance during flood situations and urged preparedness measures for drought mitigation. Furthermore, strict adherence to the instructions outlined in the Model Code of Conduct was emphasized.
