1 Ladakh Bn NCC Leh conducts first Annual Training Camp (ATC) in Kargil

Kargil, May 28: Since its raising, 1 Ladakh Bn NCC Leh on Monday conducted its first ever Annual Training Camp (ATC) 2024 in District Kargil where Taira Bano, Assistant Professor English, GDC Kargil delved deep into career counselling.

The training program was aimed to provide the cadets, a conducive and congenial ecosystem so that they can inculcate basic traits of regimental way of life and emerge as confident, convinced, disciplined and accountable citizens.

The training program was designed in a way to produce a pool of motivated, organized and trained youth who may lead in all walks of life. More than 280 school and college going cadets across Ladakh are the part of this training program.

The training program involves an array of basic military activities including Drill, Weapon Training (WT), Field Craft and Battle Craft (FCBC), Map Reading (MR), firing etc.

To make the training program more inviting and photogenic, a consortium of experts from various fields were invited.

On 27 May, 2024, Taira Bano, Assistant Professor, English, GDC Kargil was invited as guest speaker, who spoke at length on diverse career prospects. The learned and seasoned career counsellor resonated the audience with her enthralling knowledge of the subject matter.

Demonstrations were made, as how to align one’s career choices with personal interests. Skill, interest and academics play a pivotal role in achieving the aim. Technical advices, as how to remain composed and navigate in the time of crisis and melancholy remained focal point of discussion. 

The content of the lecture was so tailored that it showed synchrony with the mental vibrations of variegated age groups among the audience.

Techniques for taping the latent potentials of students brought special attention. Cadets overwhelmingly attended the beguiling lecture of Taira Bano and enjoyed it to the brim. Her unique way of delivery coupled with ample experiences was what the cadets liked the most.
