“Will not accept apology, initiate legal action”: IKMT responds to derogatory remarks against Ayatollah Khomeini
VoL Desk, April 27: Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) Kargil, Ladakh, reflecting the general feeling of the Shia Muslims of Ladakh region condemned the “highly objectionable blasphemous, vilifying and derogatory content carried out about highly revered World Islamic Leader and founder of Islamic Revolution of Iran Late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in a 6th Class Textbook published by one Q Connect Books/Acuber gone viral on social media”. Stated the IKMT in a press release besides condemning the same in a press conference.
“We condemn the Publisher, authorities and the persons involved in it for their highly derogatory content and remarks which has hurt and damaged the religious sentiments of all the Shia Muslims World Over including Muslims of India as well”, stated the press release.
The IKMT demanded the Union Territory of Ladakh and Central Governments to immediately take cognizance and initiate legal action on this heinous crime and willful attack on the communal harmony of the country by the publishers and the erring persons.

We do not accept any apology in the matter by the Publishers and the culprits. They must sternly be punished under law. The copies of the book should immediately be confiscated, stated the IKMT.
