VoL Desk, April 30: As the deadline for filing nomination papers for the Ladakh parliamentary elections is approaching, the representatives of the political parties in Kargil district have finalized the candidate for the general elections 2024.

According to confirmed information in this regard, the largest political parties in Kargil, Indian National Congress (INC) and National Conference (NC) have unanimously decided to field Haji Muhammad Hanifa Jan as joint candidate.

When asked by Voice of Ladakh in this regard, party sources of Indian National Congress and National Conference confirmed that Haji Muhammad Hanifa Jan will be their joint candidate from Ladakh parliamentary constituency on the mandate of Congress.

It is to be remembered that for the past several days, the leaders of these two political parties had held several meetings in this regard and in the meantime, debates and speculations about the MP candidate continued on social media in Kargil.
