Wages of the Daily Wager enhanced in the UT Ladakh
VoL Desk, March 15: As per the order by the Finance Department of UT administration the Daily Wage Earners, who are duly engaged and working in all Government Departments and those of Municipalities and Local Bodies, on daily wage basis and falling in the categories of highly skilled and administrative/ministerial/accounts staff shall be enhanced from the existing minimum wage rate.
Taking into consideration the difficult living condition and geographical distance that the minimum wages in the tehsils of Zanskar, Durbuk and Nyoma shall be 10% additional.
The Labour and Employment Department of UT Ladakh, through order No: 233-F of 2022 dated: 15.11.2022, has mandated the Finance Department UT Ladakh to implement the wage enhancement for Daily Wage Earners, including Casual Workers, Casual laborers, and Daily Rated Workers, within Government Departments of UT Ladakh.
