Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh celebrates World Theatre Day
Kargil, March 27, 2024: Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Language (LAACL), Kargil, Ladakh in collaboration with Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh today celebrated World Theatre Day-2024 at Auditorium Hall of the university campus.
Dr Jaffer Ali Khan, Senior Assistant Professor from Sociology Department, Dr Mohd Taqi, Assistant Professor Geography Department along with all faculty members, commended Kacho Ahmed Ali, Founder of the RANTHAG Theatre Group and his team encouraging further engagement in such creative and innovative activities.
The RANTHAG Theatre Group creatively presented the play “AMAA’s KAL” (Mother’s Share), highlighting a deeply rooted social concern contributing to familial division.

Through this collaboration, the LAACL and the Kargil Campus, UoL reaffirmed their commitment to promoting art and culture in the region.
World Theatre Day 2024 served as a platform for fostering cultural exchange and dialogue, enriching the community and nurturing future generations of theatre enthusiasts.
