Appeal for Flexibility in Computer Science Lecturer Eligibility Criteria
Vol Desk, March 17: A delegation met with the Lieutenant Governor, Brigadier (Dr.) BD Mishra, to advocate for the removal of B.Ed. as a mandatory eligibility criterion for the position of Computer Science Lecturer.
The delegation argued that requiring a B.Ed qualification for a technical subject such as Computer Science is unnecessary. They cited the example of Jammu and Kashmir, where despite NCTE guidelines, a relaxation has been granted, and urged for a similar provision to be extended to Ladakh.
In response, the Lieutenant Governor directed the relevant Secretary to thoroughly examine the matter.
