LG Meets with Chief of Air Staff to Enhance AN-32 Courier Services Frequency
Kargil, Jan 12: The Lieutenant Governor (LG) held a constructive meeting with the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari, PVSM, AVSM, VM, ADC in New Delhi.
The discussions primarily revolved around crucial matters concerning the provision of helicopter services in Leh District, with a specific emphasis on remote areas such as Lingshed, Dipling, Neyraks, Youlchung, and Chusul, especially during winter emergencies.
Among the topics deliberated was the logistic support and assistance required for civilians traveling from Chandigarh Air Force Station to Leh and Thoise Airbase. This was prompted by the need to manage the high passenger influx anticipated during the months of February and March.

Furthermore, the meeting involved detailed discussions on a proposal to enhance the frequency of Operation Sadhbavna (AN-32 Kargil Courier Service) from four to five days a week. This enhancement aims to strengthen connectivity between Kargil, Jammu, and Srinagar. Additionally, the deliberations extended to MI Heli services between Leh and Zanskar, particularly focusing on the winter months, all under the Air Maintenance quota.
