LG Conveys Gratitude to MoRTH, for Approving 29 Road Projects and 8 Bridges to Ladakh
Kargil, Jan 11: The Minister of Road, Transport & Highways, Sh. Nitin Gadkari presided over a significant meeting to assess vital national highway projects in the states of Uttarakhand, West Bengal, the Union Territory of Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Andaman & Nicobar. The meeting took place at the Dr. Ambedkar Conventional Centre in New Delhi.
Minister of State for Road, Transport & Highways, Gen (Dr) VK Singh (Retd), Member of Parliament for Ladakh, Sh. Jamyang Namgyal, and other relevant officials participated in this high-level discussion.
During the meeting, LG, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra, conveyed his appreciation to the Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Road, Transport & Highways (MoRTH), for approving 29 roads with a budget of Rs.1170 crores under the CRIF and 8 bridges with a budget of Rs.182 crores under the Setu Bandhan Scheme for the Union Territory of Ladakh for the fiscal year 2023-24.

He further emphasized that these projects in Ladakh are instrumental in catalyzing substantial infrastructural development in the Union Territory.
