LAHDC Leh to rebrand Health & Wellness Centres in local language
VoL Desk, Jan. 29: In view of the controversy erupted as a result of renaming the Health Centres in Ladakh as “Ayushman Arogya Mandir”, the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh has proposed for rebranding the Health and Wellness Centres as “Tsey-Ring Nadmed Tsonas” in Leh as per Guidelines of Health Ministry.
CEC Leh, Tashi Gyaltsan chaired an important consultative meeting with socio-religious heads and officers of District Administration Leh.
In the meeting, the CEC affirmed that formal approval would be sought from the UT Administration Ladakh by LAHDC Leh for the rebranding of these centres in the Bhoti language, following the prescribed guidelines.

Earlier, the CEC chaired a meeting in presence of MP Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal to discuss the issues regarding rebranding of Health & Wellness Centre in Ladakh.
CEC advised the EC Culture Stanzin Chosphel to immediately form a committee of experts to rebranding of the Health & Wellness Centres in the regional language of Bhoti in Leh district as per the provision provided under the guidelines of the order from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The CEC further added that once the suggestions are communicated by the committee, the Executive Council of LAHDC Leh will submit a proposal to the Secretary Health, UT Ladakh for rebranding in Bhoti language as per the prescribed guidelines.
