Kargil, January 01: Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon expressed grief over the death of a minor child during a fire incident at Khardun village in Chiktan.

The incident took place last night in a residential house causing death of a minor child while the property was also damaged during the incident.

Following the fire incident, relief material has been immediately dispatched for the family members. While expressing condolences with the grieved family, CEC Dr Jaffer Akhoon prayed for the departed soul.

Meanwhile, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) has also conveyed his deep condolences to the family on the unfortunate incident and prayed for the departed soul.

CEC Dr Jaffer Akhoon also asked the concerned for providing adequate assistance to the affected family. The Revenue Department has been directed to take assessment of the damage caused to the property and furnish a report at the earliest.
