Kargil, Dec 01: In an effort to safeguard and promote one of the most crucial elements of Ladakh’s identity-Bhoti language a daylong seminar conducted by the Department of Education, LAHDC Leh, in which LG Ladakh presided as chief guest.

LG stressed the collective responsibility to preserve and promote Ladakh’s cultural identity. LG pledge his full support in accomplishing this shared objective and added that Bhoti Language plays a vital role in enriching the cultural fabric of Ladakh.

The event was also attended by MP Ladakh, while speaking during the occasion, he said that they are doing efforts to include Bhoti in the 8th schedule of Indian Constitution and also steps are taken for acknowledging scholars and researchers of Bhoti language and broadening its influence in higher education and employment sectors.
