Kargil, Dec 23: Executive Councilor (RD&PRD, Forest/Wildlife, Cooperative, CAPD and Zanskar Development) LAHDC, Kargil, Er Punchok Tashi on Friday reviewed the physical and financial status of various ongoing schemes like District Capex, State Sector and SDP under PWD, R&B and Zanskar Development Authority (ZDA).

Executive Engineer, ZDA, Mohd Toyub briefed in detail about the achievements as on date. He was appreciated as almost all the funds placed for the year 2023 have been utilized except few works.

The priority sector has been marked for completion during next financial year which include few bridges in Lungnak, Sham and Stoth area. The road under CRF for Ralakung, Shaday and Junkhor under SDP as well as macadamization of KR Pidmo and Kumik shall be executed in 2024.

The motorable bridge construction at Bakarsey, Pidmo and Sking as well as FS Bridge at Surlay, Rinam and Hanamur shall be completed in 2024 as informed by the Executive Engineer. Focus for completion of DPR like Amphitheatre/Multipurpose Stadium under ZDA, Indoor Stadium of YSS and schools shall be completed and submitted to the concerned during current winter.

EC Tashi appreciated the team of PWD and ZDA for the achievement. He thanked UT Administration for the recruitment of engineers as three Junior Engineers to R&B Zanskar and two JEs to ZDA have been posted and have joined recently thereby fulfilling the vacant posts.
