Leh, Dec 8, 2023: Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve, chaired a  meeting to deliberate on the excess/surrender under the District Capex Budget (2023-24) allocated to the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Irrigation and Flood Control Department at the DC Office Leh’s VC room.

During the session, officers from the concerned departments provided comprehensive updates on the physical and financial progress of various projects across different blocks. Deputy Commissioner meticulously reviewed the division-wise expenditure of both departments, emphasizing the need for transparency and efficiency.

Deputy Commissioner, Leh directed all Heads of Departments (HODs) to submit expenditure requests promptly, outlining projects that could be initiated or completed by the end of December 2023 to ensure optimal utilization of the allocated funds within the stipulated time frame.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Leh, Superintending Engineer of PW(R&B) Leh, and Superintending Engineer of Irrigation and Flood Control Leh.
