Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp held at Nyoma
Leh, Nov. 17: To ensure the saturation of flagship government schemes, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp was organized today at Government Middle School, Nyoma.
During the event, Sub-Division level Officers of RDD&PRD, Agriculture, ICDS, Revenue, Sheep Husbandry, PHE, KVK SKUAST, Ladakh Rural Livelihood Mission, JK Bank, SBI and Health Department besides other allied departments have provided the ‘on-spot services’ of various schemes.
Sub-Division level Officers, Sarpanch, Panches, Nambardar, and Members of villages Nyoma, Mudh, and Nidder were present. The villagers were informed about various direct beneficiary-oriented schemes, aiming to uplift their lives.

The event started by welcoming the IEC (Information, Education and Communication) Van followed by the Opening movie and the Viksit Bharat pledge taken by participants including the Sarpanch and Nambardar.
During the camp, a thorough health screening was held, encompassing essential health check-ups such as blood pressure, TB screening, and sugar level assessments.Attendees had the opportunity to receive Ayushman Health Cards, providing them with quick access to healthcare services.
In addition to health services,Various agriculture, Sheep, and Child care-related services and concerns were addressed by the concerned department. Progressive farmers of Nyoma, Nidder, and Mudh village adopted by KVK SKUAST- Nyoma also participated with their organic farm produce. Similarly, ICDS department also showcases and serves nutritional food.
The camp also focused on Jal Jeevan Mission initiatives, offering guidance and support to mitigate water-related challenges in the region. An appreciation certificate was given to Sarpanch Nyoma for his unwavering support in the execution and running of the scheme.
Also, a quiz competition was organised for the students of Middle School Nyoma on the topic ‘Swachhata hi Sewa’, and certificates were distributed to the winners. Sanitary kits were distributed to the female students of KBGV Nyoma under the ‘Beti Padhao Beti Bachao scheme’.
A cultural program was also organised by the Women Self-Help Group of Nyoma. Later, Subdivision Magistrate Nyoma provided insights into the overarching goal of Viksit Bharat. He underlined the program’s mission to transform the country into a developed nation. He expressed gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
