LG Ladakh Chairs Meeting, Discuss winter Preparedness and Stocking
Leh, Nov. 17: The Honorable Lieutenant Governor presided over a meeting to evaluate winter readiness and the stocking of vital supplies in Ladakh.
Attendees included the Advisor to the LG, Secretaries, officials from pertinent departments, as well as representatives from IOCL & HPCL.
Heads of various departments provided updates about the levels of essential items such as food grains, kerosene, firewood, cattle feed/fodder, poultry products, medical supplies, petrol, and diesel etc.

The LG expressed concerns about potential pilferage of these stored goods and urged the assignment of responsibilities to prevent any such incidents. Emphasis was placed on ensuring adequate stock of essential items for the remote regions of Zanskar, Nubra, and Changthang well ahead of time.
Furthermore, the LG highlighted the importance of stocking spare parts for critical medical, power, and mechanical equipment. He underscored the need to address grievances related to Jal Jeevan to ensure a continuous supply of drinking water throughout the winter months.
