IKMT Initiates Membership Drive, Redefining Organizational Structure
VoL Desk, Nov. 24: The Guardian Council of the Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) declared in a recent press conference that following the adoption of new bylaws, the organization has commenced the distribution of membership forms across Kargil’s villages, aiming to rejuvenate the organization’s general body.
According to Sheikh Hameed Nasiri, the distribution of membership forms began on November 12, with the deadline for form submission set for November 30. Sheikh Nasiri urged the public to actively participate by filling out these forms, emphasizing the importance of increased membership within the organization.
The distributed memberships at the grassroots level will constitute Mohalla Committees. These committees in each village will collectively form Village Committees, which, in turn, will amalgamate to form Block Committees. Furthermore, representatives chosen by the Mohalla Committees and Village Committees will collectively form the Delegates Council for IKMT.

Individuals who complete the membership forms will become part of the General Body, responsible for electing the soon-to-be-established Executive Body of the organization, as stated by Sheikh Nasiri during the press conference.
Sheikh Nasiri highlighted that previous memberships, in accordance with the former bylaws, are now void, requiring individuals to reapply using the new membership forms to reinstate their membership within the organization.
