Kargil, Nov 07, 2023: Executive Councilor, RD&PRD, Forest and CAPD, LAHDC, Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi today convened an introductory meeting with officers/officials of Forest Department at Council Secretariat, Kargil. DFO Kargil, Mohd Ali, Range Officers and other concerned officers attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, DFO Kargil congratulated EC Tashi for assuming the charge as EC for 3rd time in LAHDC Kargil.

The DFO briefed about the various activities particularly plantation at community and institution level and on Departmental plantations in the district to increase plantation area.

It was informed in the meeting that several project worth Rs 30 cr for Forest Department have been sanctioned under SDP which includes plantations, forest guest house, range offices and other works.

EC Tashi appreciated staff of Forest Department for the dedicated efforts they put for implementation of their official mandate.

During the meeting, DFO Kargil briefed the chair about the financial achievements in the current financial year. He also apprised the meeting about the significant achievements in SDP, State Capex, CAMPA etc. During the meeting, various experiences and views were put forth by the officials.

EC Tashi emphasized to focus on beneficiary-oriented schemes and urged officers to work with dedication in consultation with respective Councilors particularly while selecting beneficiaries for community plantations. He also directed the concerned officials to complete the work before the working season and encourage maximum expenditure.
