Kargil, Nov. 10: Deputy Commissioner/Chairman, District Ujjwala Committee Kargil, Shrikant Suse today chaired a meeting of the District Ujjwala Committee in his office chamber.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Abdul Hadi, AD FCS&CA Khanzada Mohd Usman, District Nodal Officer IOCL, Sajid Ali and others.

On the occasion, the DNO delivered a PPT regarding the guidelines and eligibility criteria of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. He briefed the chair about the status and achievements of the Central Sponsored Scheme in the district so far.

DC Kargil directed concerned officers to make wide publicity about guidelines and eligibility criteria to avail benefits for beneficiaries. It was informed in the meeting that guidelines also contain 14 point deprivation criteria which will be considered for selection of the eligible beneficiaries under the PMUY.

Further, it was informed that the prospective beneficiaries may approach the authorities at IOCL Kargil Depot and the distributors/sale outlets of HPCL and IOCL companies in the district for seeking benefits under this scheme.
