VoL Desk, Oct. 03: Director General NCC , Lt. General Gurbirpal Singh ( AVSM, VSM) , ceremonially conferred “DG’s Plaque” to Lt. (Dr) Mohmad Hussain, Associate NCC Officer and Senior Lecturer Botany , Govt ML Boys’ Higher Secondary School Kargil.

DG NCC was on his 5 days visit to Ladakh , accompanied by Major General RK Sachedewa Additional Director General Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate, Brigadier Kuldeep Singh Kalsi Group Commander Sringar , Lt Colonel HS Dhanoa Commanding Officer 1 Ladakh Bn NCC Leh, Lt Col Shaifali Adm Officer 1L Bn NCC Leh and other officers.

This is the first ever visit of any Director General of National Cadet Corp to the remotest NCC Unit of Northern India. The officers witnessed an impressive Guard of honour and sensational and arresting cultural program by the Cadets of Ladakh.

Lt. Mohmad Hussain was conferred “DG’s Plaque” as a token of appreciation for his impeccable commitment in grooming the future leaders of our country , ceaselessly engaging in youth empowerment and always promoting unique mix of scholastic education and multifaceted activities enabling all round development of the cadets. He is the first ever ANO from Ladakh (Senior Division ) receiving DG’s Plaque here in Ladakh only.

Lt ( Dr) Mohmad Hussain performs his duties beyond and above the call of duty and his indomitable attitudes towards his service has time and again acknowledged by an officer of higher rank and acumen of Indian Army . He always motivates his cadets towards voluntary services and keep cadets ready as when situation calls.

Notably Lt. Mohmad Hussain had earlier received many a District, UT and Directorate level appreciations including ADG’s Appreciation DO, ADG’s Appreciation Medal and ADG’s Appreciation Certificates. Lt. Mohmad Hussain has been associated with many a local , national and international organizations.

Very recently , as a faculty member of Botany, he has been associated with KIM ( Kargil Ignited Mind), a joint venture of Indian Army , NIEDO and HCL, imparting NEET and JEE Coaching to the aspirants of District Kargil . Today’s appreciation in the promosing hands of DG NCC shall definitely boost his spirit to work with extra vigour and ardour. It is pertinent to mention here, that more than 15 Cadets of Govt Boys HSS Kargil under his guidance have been selected as Agniveer .
