Addressing the gathering, senior BJP leader Haji Anayat Ali remarked, “We are well aware of the political maneuvers that led to the formation of KDA. Today marks the commencement of our campaign for the upcoming MP Election. The decree against the BJP is a challenge we readily accept. In the next six months, you will witness the results of our efforts during the MP election.”
During his speech, the MP Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal highlighted the fact that Anjuman Sahib Zaman had fielded a candidate in Parkachik, leading to the BJP refraining from nominating their own candidate. The MP, Jamyang, further emphasized the close coordination between the BJP and Anjuman Sahib Zaman, mentioning his regular meetings with Anjuman’s top leaders, Agha Baqir and Agha Miggi Out. He revealed that the Aghas had chosen to field Haji Ghulam Mohd as an independent candidate without the support of the BJP party symbol.
It is worth noting that the MP also visited the ongoing construction site of the Community Gathering Centre of Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman in Taisuru village, expressing his commitment to supporting the project until its completion. He assured the community, saying, “I guarantee you that the land, trees, and houses used for the road construction will receive their rightful compensation without any delays.”
He went on to criticize the alleged nepotism and favoritism within the CEC seat, alleging that such practices had begun during the NC and Congress era. He pointed out the appointment of Qambar Ali Akhoon’s brother to the CEC seat, overlooking more experienced and dynamic leaders like Feroz Ahmad Khan. Reflecting on the past two decades, he lamented the wasteful 10 years consumed by the rivalry between Qambar and Karbalai, resulting in minimal progress. He suggested that their newfound alliance between what he metaphorically referred to as “dog and cat” had two objectives: preserving the culture of favoritism and nepotism and shielding the corruption that occurred during their time in office.
