October 30, 2023 – A tidal wave of righteous fury surged through the hearts of Kargil’s youth, as thousands of children from the district’s remotest corners united at the district headquarter today. Their collective voice roared against the heinous slaughter of innocent Gaza children perpetrated by the Israeli forces.

Nestled amidst the towering Himalayas, Kargil witnessed a remarkable display of solidarity. The morning chill surrendered to the warm embrace of the sun, illuminating the resolve of children aged 6 to 18. Their voices, echoing with determination, reverberated against the callous bombardment by Israeli forces in Gaza.

Adorned with flags of Palestine and images depicting the unspeakable horrors, these young souls chanted defiant slogans: “Down with Israel,” “Down with America,” and “We stand with Palestine.”

This fervent protest, orchestrated by Baseej-e-Ruhanion, the clergy wing of Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust, Kargil, saw the spirited participation of students from approximately 70 Darul-Qurans (evening schools) scattered across the Kargil district.

The march, a testament to their unwavering solidarity, commenced from Fatima Chowk, traversed the bustling streets of Kargil, and culminated at Lal Chowk. Here, amidst the fervor, a select few students delivered impassioned speeches, igniting the crowd with their zeal.

The event’s crescendo resonated with the recitation of the holy Quran and fervent supplications, pleading for the swift return of Imam Mehdi, the last Shia Imam. Prayers soared high for the triumph of the resistance forces and the valiant people of Palestine against the illegitimate state of Israel.

In this charged atmosphere, one brave student thundered, calling upon the international community and human rights watchdogs to hold Israel accountable for its heinous crimes in Gaza. Another, her tear-streaked face a poignant testament to her pain, beseeched for the rightful return of occupied Palestinian lands to their rightful owners.
