CBC’s 2-day ICOP-cum-photo exhibition concludes in Kargil
Kargil, October 14, 2023: The two-day Integrated Communication Outreach (ICOP)-cum- photo exhibition Programme organized by Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, concluded today at Auditorium Hall, Kargil.
The programme covered the themes of “9 Years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan”, “Mission Life” and India’s G20 Presidency besides highlighting key achievements and landmark decisions taken by the Central Government in the last nine years.
Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho, who was the chief guest on the occasion, congratulated CBC for organizing the programme and thanked them for choosing Kargil as the venue. He expressed the desire that more such programmes are conducted in the future.

Making a mention of some landmark decisions of the Central Government, Kacho said that the programmes of the government have resulted in ease of living for the citizens. He said that these programmes act as eye-openers for the public.
Kacho said that India did a commendable job when it came to holding the G20 Presidency and left an impression on the whole world. He expressed happiness that Leh was chosen as the venue for the Y20 deliberations and expressed satisfaction over its smooth conduct.
The chief guest also said that Ladakh is highly vulnerable to the effects of climate change and every individual should take care of the environment in mission mode. He emphasized upon those present to adopt the principles of Mission LiFE and take care of their surroundings. Kacho also inspected the photo exhibition set up on the occasion by CBC.
Medical Officer, District Hospital, Kargil, Dr Oliyath Ali gave a detailed presentation on the health schemes introduced during the last nine years and the progress made in the field of health care.He said that the last nine years have been a period of service to mankind and the government has made sure that the benefits of the various schemes launched reach the last person in the queue.
Dr Ali added that India’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic was better than some of the most developed countries of the world and because of that, the country not only contained the virus but also helped other countries in the form of vaccines and medical aid.
He concluded by saying that various health parameters have improved as a result of the implementation and proper monitoring of the multitude of health schemes introduced in the country.
In-charge Cyber/Narcotic Cell Kargil Inspector, Fazil Abbas spoke about the menace of drug abuse in the society. He said narcotics have penetrated deep into the society and it is a moment of grave concern for one and all.
Abbas said that the society has to play collective role to curb drug menace and stressed to make efforts to nip the evil in the bud. He added that directly or indirectly, every individual is affected by the drug abuse.
Earlier, Field Publicity Officer, CBC Field Office Leh, Aamir Amin Nowshahri welcomed the guests and thanked District Administration Kargil and other concerned departments for their support in organizing the programme. He also threw light on the various themes of the ICOP and photo exhibition.
More than 200 participants including school students took part in the programme. The event also witnessed cultural performances from students of various schools. An open quiz for students was also conducted during and prizes were distributed among the winners.
