Leh, August,22: The Honorable Lieutenant Governor, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra, presided over an event organized by the Directorate of School Education. The purpose of the event was to felicitate the contributions of the Teaching & Academic Faculty who have made substantial strides in the realm of education. These educators have also played a pivotal role in guiding 10th & 12th-grade students to excel in the JK BOSE Exams 2022-2023.

Addressing the gathering, the LG extended his heartfelt congratulations to the teachers. He underscored the profound nobility inherent in the teaching profession and urged all educators to carry out their duties with integrity, embracing their responsibilities towards their students and, by extension, the future prospects of Ladakh and the global community.

As part of the event, the LG personally presented Certificates of Appreciation & Awards to the deserving teachers. Additionally, the issue of teacher attachments was raised by the LG, and direct the relevant departments to intervene and bring an end to this practice. He emphasized the importance of halting such practices and even advocated freezing the salaries of those teachers involved, if deemed necessary.
