2nd FLNAT under NILP conducted successfully in Ladakh
Kargil, August 07: The 2nd Foundational Literacy & Numeracy Assessment Test (FLNAT) was conducted on Sunday under New India Literacy Programme (Nav Bharat Saksharata Karyakram) at 620 Assessment Centres for 22,000 Adult Learners in both districts of Leh and Kargil of UT Ladakh.
The School Education Department Ladakh had made all the arrangements and deployed 1652 supervisory staff for smooth and fair conduct of the Assessment Test.
Under the New India Literacy Programme (Nav Bharat Saksharata Karyakram) scheme, 200 hours “study on the course FLN” have been imparted through critical life skills to all illiterate persons in the age group of 15 years in UT of Ladakh.

The Administration of UT Ladakh has identified 32,042 illiterate population through an internal survey conducted by the School Education Department. The adult learners were enthusiastic and passionate during the assessment test on the learning outcomes of the literacy classes.
Varsha Singh and Nishan Chakarbarty have been nominated as Observer from Ministry of Education for Leh and Kargil districts of UT Ladakh. The Observers visited various Assessment Centers to monitor/inspect the activities of Foundation Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test and smooth conduct of Assessment Test in Ladakh.
Director School Education, Ladakh, Tsering Paldan also visited various centres and interacted with the adult learners during the assessment test.
District level Monitoring Team under Chief Education Officers and Zonal level Monitoring Team under Zonal Education Officers were constituted to monitor fair conduct of Assessment Test at all identified Centers of UT Ladakh.
Director School Education Ladakh appreciated the role of Chief Education Officers, Zonal Education Officers, District Coordinators NILP and field functionaries especially the voluntary trainers (VT) to smooth implementation of New India Literacy Program of Ladakh.
