Kargil, July, 03: The 12th session of the Tehsil Level Tennis Cricket Tournament, organized by the Smart Association in Shargole, concluded on 26 June at the multipurpose stadium in Shargole.

The tournament saw the participation of 20 teams from various villages in the sub-division of Shakar Chiktan.

Considered the biggest tournament and a major platform for players, the tournament commenced a few days ago.

In the final match between Freedom 15 and Ibex Nunamchey, Freedom 15 emerged victorious by 9 wickets. Mehboob Ali from Freedom 15 was adjudged the Man of the Match, while Feroz of RC Shargole was declared the Man of the Series.

The Chief Guest for the final match and presentation ceremony was Shri. Mohd Ali Chandan, the Hon’ble Councillor of LAHDC/Shargole. Shri Saleem Wazir, the Tehsildar of Shargole, was the Guest of Honor, and the incharge SHO of Wakha attended as the special guest.

Among the other prominent guests were the Principal of Govt. Higher Secondary School in Shargole, Nambardar Shargole Haji Hussan, and senior citizens of Shargole.

Mr. Izhar Hussain, President of the Smart Association, delivered the welcome speech and expressed gratitude to the guests.

During the closing ceremony, Chief Guest Councillor Ali Chandan and other dignitaries presented the prizes to the winners of the tournament.

The winning team received a cash award of Rs. 11,000 along with prizes from the guests, while the runners-up team received Rs. 6,000 and prizes from the guests.

In addition to these awards, several other rewards, medals, and trophies were presented to outstanding players, officials, and members.

Mr. Ali Chandan commended the association for organizing such a large-scale tournament with great discipline and announced a cash reward of Rs. 5,000 each for the winning team, runners-up team, and the association.

Tehsildar Saleem Wazir praised the association for not only organizing sports tournaments but also actively participating in various social activities and collaborating with the tehsil administration in every event.

During the ceremony, Ali Chandan handed over a complete set of PA system to the association, which had been requested since last year.

Apart from the awards, the Smart Association also honored Nomo Maqsuma Banoo, daughter of Javid Ali from Shargole, for her exceptional performance in the recently declared NEET examination.
