Kargil, July 06: Special Cell for Women in collaboration with Women Police Station Kargil (Ladakh Police) today conducted the fourth outreach-cum-awareness program at Sheela Community Hall, Zanskar.

SHO Women Police Station, Diskit Ladol, Social Worker Special Cell, Hassina Batool, Sarpanch, SHGs and villagers from Sheela were present in the program.

The SHO Women Police Station gave awareness to the participants about the violence faced by the women and requested them to speak against such violence.

She informed the participants about the Women Help Desk at Police Station Zanskar. The SHO requested the community members to take the help of Police Station in such situations.

Hassina Batool informed the participants about the services of the Special Cell for Women and about different services for women like social welfare schemes including old age/widow pension scheme, benefits of SHGs, TLSA Zanskar, OSC etc. Women and around 30 participants from Sheela village participated in the awareness program.
